Honda C90 Cub

I commuted  on this bike from Belper, across Derby to the Rolls-Royce factories, about 22 miles a day, for three and a half years.

It was used in all weathers except snow and only let me down once - a soldered connection to the ignition switch fell apart about half way home. Fortunately I was able to ‘bodge’ a bypass and got it home where a proper repair was done ready for next morning.

It was a small bike for someone over six feet tall and one workmate reckoned it was like a ‘side of beef on a  rollerskate’.

 The few humorous insults were tolerated and were a small price to pay for getting through the stationary lines of cars trying to get through the middle of Derby and doing it at 90 miles per gallon.
